RESUMO

People's perspectives and behaviors altered in a variety of ways during the pandemic period, most notably in areas related to health, environment, and most notably waste management. Many people still prefer to work from home and this in turn leads to a large accumulation of garbage without having any proper means of disposal. As a result, the garbage area will serve as a breeding ground for illness. Garbage is usually composed of a residual waste generated from a product or object that has outlived its useful life, but can still be recycled into a valuable item. On this basis, the solution is to use a waste bank;it is a collection point for sorted garbage. It is claimed that using a waste bank can help in preventing the garbage accumulation. The main purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of the waste bank to end garbage accumulation. The information gathered through a review of the literature and direct interviews with multiple informants. According to the findings of the literature review, waste banks can provide a variety of benefits to users, as well as the community and surrounding environment. The proposed research study's findings show that the changes in community activity patterns contribute to an increase in garbage, and that the community plays an important role in waste control. From the performed research study, it is evident that m any individuals are interested about garbage banks and their benefits based on this presumption. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

It has changed its teaching pattern into innovation by implementing online learning. Therefore, teachers need to have a good self-regulated strategy to achieve the online learning goals. This study aims to describe a conceptual model for representing the self-regulated strategy of early childhood teachers in digital learning using a quantitative survey approach. The data collection involved 100 early childhood teachers in Indonesia with a focus on the analysis of three aspects of teachers' behavior in a digital learning environment: 1) IT experience, 2) IT motivation, and 3) online self-regulated strategy. The study proposed a conceptual model for teachers' self-regulated strategy to implement digital learning. The study also noted that based on the technology perspective, both IT experience and IT motivation play a critical role in affecting teachers' self-regulated strategy for digital learning. The main contribution of this study was to provide an understanding of the importance of a self-regulated strategy for teachers toward innovation in early childhood education in a digital learning environment. In doing so, the results of this study can be regarded as a starting point for incentive future research for the successful implementation of digital transformation in early childhood education. © 2023 by the authors.

RESUMO

Introduction Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine hesitancy amongst healthcare workers (HCW) has been reported in varying degrees in different parts of the world. In this study, we investigate the degree of vaccine hesitancy amongst HCWs and factors associated with it during the second wave of the pandemic in our centre. Methods We undertook this single-centre, cross-sectional study in an urban tertiary care hospital, using a modified Oxford COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy scale. We performed descriptive and appropriate univariate analysis. We used the Kruskal Wallis test as appropriate, and Spearman rank correlation to evaluate the relation between general attitude to vaccination and COVID vaccine hesitancy score. Results We obtained 223 responses. The majority of HCWs in our sample (n = 201; 90.1%) had received at least one dose of the vaccine. The mean (SD) Oxford vaccine hesitancy score was 28.54 ± 2.05, with no significant difference observed between doctors (28.45 ± 2.26) and nurses (28.68 ± 1.70), or across different specialities. Of the respondents, 92.7% (n = 216) responded positively to taking the vaccine. The lack of dependents at home was the only significant contributor to vaccine hesitancy. Age, gender, marital status, and COVID-19 infection status did not significantly affect vaccine hesitancy. Conclusion We found a significantly lower degree of hesitancy towards COVID-19 amongst HCWs in our centre during the pandemic's second wave. A more comprehensive and multi-centric study is required to validate this finding.

RESUMO

Numerous viral infections have arisen and affected global healthcare facilities. Millions of people were at severe risk of acquiring several evolving viral infections through several factors, Covid- 19 being one of the most popular ones requiring more efforts to control its spread. During the epidemic period of coronavirus diseases, appropriate oral health management and disease prevention of children is very important for children's oral and general health. In order to prevent the occurrence of cross-infection and epidemic spreading of Covid- 19 during dental practice, the recommendation to parents include making them hand hygiene at home and include proper oral care habits. Covid-19is a global human disaster presented with an emphasis on disturbing mental health aspects of the ongoing pandemic. According to the cross-sectional study, two weeks after the occurrence of Covid-19 in chin almost 40% of the affected youth were proven to have psychological problems, it is suggested that this is likely the zoonotic origin of Covid-19. Person to person transmission of Covid-19 infection led to the isolation of patients that were subsequently administered a variety of treatments, Extensive measures to reduce person to person transmission of Covid- 19 have been implemented to control the current outbreak. © 2020 Ubiquity Press. RESUMO

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a global multidimensional crisis, one of its impacts being the crisis on the informal economy. This paper presents a review of the effects of this pandemic on the informal economy, coupled with empirical evidence based on surveys conducted in Indonesia. Data used in this study was collected by an online survey during the pandemic. Theoretically, there are two points of view about the informal economy roles during a crisis: optimistic views that see informal economy survive in a crisis and pessimistic views that see the ongoing informal economy continue to suffer losses and also informal workers as vulnerable groups during a crisis. The research also discussed the impacts of the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic on informal employments and incomes, readiness in dealing with the pandemic, and the livelihood conditions of informal workers. The crisis as a result of this pandemic provides a new experience for the informal sector in dealing with the crisis. The informal sector is not always a hero during the crisis but rather an alternative sector that offers business flexibility. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.
